Whole Foods Market Store Openings
Opening an upscale grocery store for a national chain is an enormous undertaking. As the lead graphic designer for the region, I assisted on many different levels on a variety of projects. The planning for the marketing team was always done at breakneck speed as there were often (during this time period) multiple store openings at once.
From a design perspective, my job was to take the design package the environmental team had created for the store and translate that into print and digital media. Examples include flyers, social media posts, invites, stickers and a custom reusable bag.
Announcements and Invitations
For every store opening there were special events that all needed invitations, both print and digital.
Venues
Each new store had some sort of special food venue or bar in it that required at least one menu. The Champions store, located in Houston, opened a bar with Peruvian-inspired food. Colleyville, outside of Fort Worth, has a Neopolitan pizza restuarant with a special wood-fired oven. Lafayette featured classic bar-style food.

            Opening Sales Flyer
Each opening store sales flyer consisted of custom illustrations for each food item, a store map with events happening each day of opening week, a profile of the store team leader, and a list of charitable organizations that part of the opening store sales would go to.
